Everyone has dealt with a damaged or broken windshield at some point. We've seen every type of chips, every type of crack, every bit of damage you can imagine. Here are some of the most common questions we know you have from over 3 decades of experience!
How long does it take?
Generally speaking, chip repairs vary based on size, location, and severity. Because of these differences, repairs can range from as little as 10 minutes to as much as an hour.
Window or windshield replacement is normally about an hour, but once again some jobs take longer than others and sometimes repairs can go up to 90 minutes.
How long until I can drive my car?
It’s best to let your car sit for 1 full hour after the installation. So if you are trying to plan your day, give yourself 2.5 hours to be on the safe side.
Can you provide services to meet my demanding schedule?
Yes! Our mobile repair service means we can come to you. We are happy to do this, just remember that from start to finish the repair can take up to 2.5 hours!
Will I be able to see the chip after you repair it?
The chip will still be there. There’s no way to make the chip or crack disappear without complete replacement. However, the good news is that your windshield will now be structurally sound, meaning the chip won't become a giant crack.
Do I need to keep my windows cracked after installation?
No. While it’s ideal to control temperature and humidity during installation, we live in a pretty good section of Washington as far as conditions go.
